The Veneto Oncology Institute (VOI), located in Padua, is the first and only hospital in the region specifically dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and cancer research.

Founded in 2005, VOI has established itself as a highly specialised hospital and health research centre of national and international importance.

Scientific research is strongly integrated into care and guarantees the provision of diagnostic and treatment services according to standards of excellence.

Together with the Veneto Oncology Institute to spread the word

The Veneto Oncology Institute (VOI) asked us to help it in an information and fundraising campaign for cancer research, aimed at 2 target groups: private individuals (80%) and companies (20%).

Alongside the Institute, we activated a communication strategy that built a community of people sensitive to the issues of prevention and treatment on Facebook. We created a space for the exchange of information and gave authority to VOI’s voice on the subject, helping to spread awareness of the Institute and involving numerous users in fund-raising.

The SAY strategy for VOI

Creating a strategy for the Veneto Oncology Institute meant entering the delicate field of Fundraising. Talking with the client, we decided to adopt an innovative approach and not just propose a campaign lasting a few months inviting people to donate 5×1000, but to develop something more complex and long-term, to make VOI also online a point of reference for those who need information on cancer prevention and treatment.

To achieve this, we identified Facebook as the ideal media and devised a 12-month strategic plan whose aim was to create a living community around VOI. This meant preparing an editorial plan rich in interesting content for the target audience and, at the same time, activating Facebook Ads campaigns to promote the page and the Institute’s various activities.

Timely analysis of the results of posts and ads allowed us to continuously optimise content and campaigns, improving their performance month after month.

The results

Together with the brand, several milestones were achieved and in particular we have:
