Mion

The project

Mion is a historic Made in Italy manufacturer specialising in the production of woven labels, hangtags, seals, and innovative digital solutions. Founded in 1967, over more than 50 years in business, the company has expanded its presence across international markets — reaching as far as the Americas — and partnering with prestigious brands in the fashion industry. Today, it is recognised as a leading producer of woven labels, synonymous with quality, innovation, and Italian manufacturing heritage.

The request

The company partnered with SAY S.p.A. to launch a brand repositioning project. A strategic and creative journey born out of collaborative workshops, it led to the redesign of the brand architecture and the refresh of the visual identity — conveying the balance between manufacturing heritage and technological innovation.

This process culminated in a new website developed on the WordPress platform, complete with UX optimisation and a UI redesign.

The strategy

At SAY, we developed a collaborative strategic journey, launched alongside the executive governance through dedicated workshops to redefine Mion’s brand positioning.

A new brand architecture was established to highlight the company’s various divisions, complemented by a refresh of the visual identity and the creation of the ‘The Finishing Touch’ photo and video campaign.

The project was translated into a creative photo and video shoot, a new website with optimised UX/UI, and an integrated launch plan across newsletters and social media. The collaboration continues today with strategic and communication support for the Mion Plast business unit, alongside ongoing SEO consultancy to drive organic visibility and the brand’s digital growth.

The Finishing Touch: Concept and Brand Identity

Following an initial workshop phase, a new brand architecture was defined to effectively structure and present the company’s various divisions. The agency oversaw the refresh of the visual identity and developed ‘The Finishing Touch’ campaign — expressed through a black-and-white visual narrative featuring creative concept development, art direction, and photo and video content production.

The corporate identity design transformed Mion’s new positioning into a coherent and distinctive visual system. Graphic, typographic, and application guidelines were established to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. The result is an elegant, structured identity that articulates the balance between manufacturing heritage and technological innovation, bringing uniform coherence and strength to the brand.

The new website, redesigned and optimized

The project culminated in the design of the new website www.mion.com, developed to mirror the company’s refreshed brand image and enriched with a dedicated section showcasing the concrete economic, environmental, and social sustainability commitments undertaken by the business.

Built on the WordPress platform, www.mion.com now delivers enhanced usability, performance, and communication consistency following UX optimisation and a UI redesign.

The result is a more scalable website, capable of managing products and technical specifications without structural interventions — providing tangible support for the growth and solidity of the brand’s digital presence.
