The project
Padova Marathon is an annual sport event with the starting and finish point in Padua, organized by Assindustria Sport. To give a strong signal of recovery after the event’s shut down due to the pandemic, in 2021 a special edition was created, one that, aside the half marathon of 21 km, has proposed a competitive 10 km road race called “Rise and Run” and a non-competitive 5km city run.
Graphic design
SAY was responsible for studying and implementing the event’s branding, devising the new concept ‘Rise and Run’ to give voice to Assindustria Sport’s invitation to the city, athletes and institutions to start again together. It then applied this concept to all communication materials to create a coordinated and recognisable graphic design: flyers, posters, brochures, route maps, passes, bibs, jerseys and totems.
Social Media Management
The agency also took charge of managing social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), developing an editorial strategy dedicated to the three different phases of the event: pre-event, with the aim of encouraging registrations and recounting the run-up to the event, promoting sponsors, organisers and the local area; live coverage, to document the scheduled races; and post-event coverage, to recount the most significant moments and keep the fan base engaged.
Digital Advertising
To boost registrations and increase interest around the event, digital advertising campaigns were set up. Furthermore, through digital customer care activities, the agency was able to respond in a precise, comprehensive and timely manner to information requests from users.
Event media coverage
An agency team took care of the live coverage of the event to document the scheduled races and capture the most significant moments of the event.
