The SAY team contributed to the success of the third edition of the Tigotà Spring Run, a non-competitive charity run promoted by the Tigotà brand and sponsored by the Municipality of Bologna in support of the Fondazione Sant’Orsola. The event took place last April 19 in the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region.
An event of sport and solidarity featuring a 6 km route through Bologna’s Giardini Margherita, designed to welcome runners of all ages and fitness levels—including youth, children, families, and seniors. The agency worked alongside Tigotà throughout every stage of the event’s preparation and execution: from the adaptation of the creative concept to the production of communication assets, and from the coordination of PR and media relations to material production and live event management.
The third edition brought together 1,500 runners in the heart of Bologna: a success in participation that made it possible to raise and donate 15,000 euros to the Fondazione Sant’Orsola charity campaign “Per quel tocco in più” (For that extra touch). The initiative was organized in collaboration with Komen Italia – Emilia-Romagna Committee to spread the culture of prevention.
In addition to the special race kit and an exclusive T-shirt, all Tigotà Spring Run participants received a link to a dedicated private area where they could access information, prevention materials, and ask questions to an oncologist. Furthermore, free mammograms and ultrasounds were made available during the event at a mobile clinic set up in the Giardini Margherita.
“Our thanks go to Tigotà and the Municipality of Bologna for this wonderful day,” stated Stefano Vezzani, Director of the Fondazione Policlinico Sant’Orsola, from the stage. “While in previous years this run contributed to the creation and outfitting of the new Women’s Oncology Day Hospital in Bologna, this year we wanted to allocate the donation to the ‘Per quel tocco in più’ campaign. This initiative is particularly aimed at younger women who are not covered by scheduled screening programs but are nonetheless at risk.”
“We are delighted to have brought this event back to Bologna and to see such enthusiastic participation, which grows year after year,” said Marco Scattolin, Marketing Manager at Tigotà. “With this charity run, we wanted to help those who commit themselves every day to caring for the less fortunate. Our thanks to everyone who took part.”
Roberta Li Calzi, Councilor for Sport for the Municipality of Bologna, was also present at Giardini Margherita: “This event is a brilliant idea by Tigotà, to which Bologna responds year after year with great presence and affection. I am truly proud of our city, which never fails to show its support when it comes to doing good.”
“Guiding our clients in creating authentic bonds with local communities, target audiences, and stakeholders is at the heart of our mission,” says Giulia Consonni, Client Manager at SAY. “Being part of such a significant social initiative promoted by Tigotà is a source of great pride for us and for the entire team.”
