The exemptions currently in place are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-94857753163ea498f9342c2256363884\">4.1 Micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover below \u20ac2 million)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-21e0a5ee0d18359d123d3f737c609ee0\">Micro-enterprises that provide services may be exempted from the application of the EAA. However, to obtain this exemption, the company must provide concrete evidence that implementing accessibility would have a disproportionate financial impact. Companies are expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Explore alternative solutions<\/strong> to guarantee at least a minimum level of accessibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Periodically update<\/strong> their assessment to verify whether the situation has changed.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-a35414e890eeb6b1b2e6038b20483b35\" style=\"background-color:#f9f9f9\"><strong>For example<\/strong>: A tech startup with a limited budget might obtain a temporary exemption for certain features of its website but would still need to provide accessible alternatives.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-27bd27490073d51e50952d25df1368c6\">4.3 Products and services already regulated by other EU legislation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ca24a054d28f5d810d40af998a7b5c33\">Some sectors may be partially excluded from the EAA because they are already subject to more specific accessibility regulations.<br><strong>For example<\/strong>: Digital public services are already regulated by <strong>EU Directive 2016\/2102<\/strong> on the accessibility of public administration websites and mobile applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9ac00cf961d1ea846fe5a532228b76c6\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8887cf101184efd408b0fd23f020d094\" id=\"responsibilities-in-private-companies\" style=\"color:#659a8b\">5.
