The project
Padova Convention Bureau is the conference branch of the DMO (Destination Management Organization) Padova Consortium, whose members include the Province, Chamber of Commerce and Municipality of the city of Padova, and aims to increase the destination Padova’s capacity to attract tourist flows and encourage leisure-conference tourism. Our agency won the creative tender issued by the Consortium for the strategic conception and creation of the new Padova Convention Bureau web portal, useful for promoting Consortium affiliates (conference venues, transportation services, tourist agencies, hotel facilities, etc.) and enhancing Padova and its province as an ideal destination for organizing conferences and conventions.
The concept
To meet the organisation’s needs, SAY developed a creative idea (which proved successful) based on a digital strategy that went beyond simply restyling the website, focusing instead on a complete redefining of the navigation structure. From a simple institutional portal, the website was transformed into an online catalogue of offers (in two languages, Italian and English) to allow users to independently choose the best solutions for organising their meetings and events in the area.
Design & User Experience
The portal’s usability has been designed to showcase and promote the region, offering solutions with a strong emotional impact for the moments before and after the conference business experience. Every digital element is responsive and adaptable to the mobile environment, to meet the needs of customers who often use their smartphones as a tool for consultation and booking.
Development
In the website development phase, preceded by a preliminary analysis of competitors and a study of the interests and objectives of acquired and potential clients, an internal search engine was created, based on the most modern data storage technologies, to allow users to easily find customized solutions.
