The University Hospital of Padua is recognised as a Hospital of National Importance and High Specialisation and as a Hub Hospital of Excellence in the Veneto Region. The hospital complex, located in Padua at Via Nicolò Giustiniani 1, provides healthcare and health services as a part of a process that inseparably includes teaching and research activities. It serves as a reference point for the realisation of institutional collaboration between the Regional Health Service and the University of Padua.
Logo design
SAY was responsible for the restyling of the official logo of the University Hospital Company Padua. The new logo features a modern architectural representation of the Giustinianeo building, the historical hospital of the city of Padua, in particular a detail of the façade of the structure facing the internal cloister.
It suggests the value of the hospital’s mission through the union of several geometric elements: at the base of the symbol are two people (a rectangle and a circle) joined by the arch of the central door, representing the patient/doctor binomial and the variety of services/departments offered by the hospital. which provides continuous healthcare assistance.
Coordinated Image Management
Starting with the development of the new logo and the design of a renewed graphic concept, the agency completely rethought the brand identity of the University Hospital Company of Padua. SAY was responsible for the design and production of all institutional materials (for paper and digital media), such as business cards, staff badges, letterheads, envelopes, press kits and gadgets. Additionally, to regulate the use of the new visual and verbal brand elements across all forms of communication (corporate materials, signage, advertisements and editorial productions), a brand manual was created containing the guidelines to be followed, respecting the tone of voice, values and visual identity of the Company.
Advertising
In addition to the institutional materials, the creative team developed a multi-subject advertising campaign for the “National Day Against Violence Against Health Workers”, designing the concept and the declination of all advertising materials (flyers, posters, web banners, social posts). Furthermore, during the Covid-19 pandemic emergency, the agency collaborated on the creation of dual-language information materials (Italian and English) to indicate the different swab and vaccination points and to inform patients about the safety rules in force in the hospital.
Web and creative design
In order to make the official portal (www.aopd.veneto.it) – as well as the Company’s main online communication channel – a functional and intuitive site, a complete restyling of the page design (homepage, internal pages and pages for new services such as Telemedicine) was carried out. The primary goal was to improve the user experience and facilitate the main actions of booking, payment and retrieving documents typically carried out on the site. The new design, in addition to making navigation more fluid, logical and faster, has been coordinated with the stylistic choices of the new brand communication, enhancing the excellence of the structure and the uniqueness of the city of Padua.
