Project

Airwheel is a leading international brand of electric personal transport vehicles. In SAY we developed a strong and coherent image to establish Airwheel’s presence in Europe among consumers and retailers thanks to a narrative developed through the web and the main social networks. Subsequently, an institutional image was developed specifically for the Italian market, with the creation of all supporting materials. For Airwheel we also dealt with the implementation of a direct sales platform and the management of national trade fair events with the aim of developing brand awareness.

The realisation of the photo shoots to accompany the website and communication on the company’s European social networks involved both the individual products in still life, and the conception of ambient images to support the brand narrative, real product launches when considered globally.

Website design and development

For the creation of the website and e-commerce for Airwheel we decided to pay particular attention to design: from the palette to the choice of fonts, up to the design of a set of fully customised icons, every detail served to convey the philosophy and values of the brand. The realisation of the e-commerce was based on the combination of aesthetics and detailed information on all available channels and their characteristics, allowing the company to have a direct sales channel while waiting for the setting up of a network of resellers on the national territory.

Graphics and corporate image: catalogue design

The administrative structure of the site had to take into account the needs of a company with customers and distributors throughout the world located in various countries: for this reason it was decided to give the possibility of reorganising the catalogue according to both the user’s country of origin and the language selected in the case of countries with more than one official language. Added to this is the opportunity to vary the availability of certain products according to the user’s country.

Social Media Management

Like all brands aspiring to establish themselves on the European market, of critical importance is all that part of activity which concerns the creation of a daily relationship with potential customers, taking advantage of the possibilities offered by social networks, for which all aspects were taken care of, from the realisation of the editorial plan, to the construction and maintenance of the community, to the management of the advertising budget for these channels.

In order to give Airwheel’s vehicles appeal, it was decided to link the brand, among others, to a similar mood and marked values, that is the mood of motors and two-wheelers. In the weeks leading up to EICMA in Milan, various advertising pages and inserts were created and published in Motosprint magazine, some with discount coupons in preparation for the trade fair and with the aim of increasing brand awareness.

On the occasion of the motorbike exhibition, a 3-door brochure was designed and distributed to all visitors: inside you can see a complete overview of all Airwheel vehicles with their main features, while on the back you can find a coupon entitling to an immediate 10% discount at Airwheel Italia stand.

Press Office and Press Kit at EICMA 2015

On the occasion of the 2015 edition of EICMA, the biggest motorcycling exhibition in the world, held every year in Milan, we organised Airwheel Italia’s participation as a symbolic moment for the brand’s landing in Italy: besides all the related management activities, the press office work in the field, through direct interface with sector journalists and the creation of a special media kit, which allowed the company to gain numerous references on all kinds of newspapers, was fundamental.
