11 May 2026
SAY S.p.A. participated as a sponsor in the 2026 Confapi Public Assembly, which took place on May 8th at Villa Molin, a historic Renaissance villa located on the outskirts of Padua.
For SAY, a member company of the association, its presence at the event represented a moment of continuity in a well-established relationship with an organization that, since 1997, has brought together and represented local small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting entrepreneurial culture, innovation, and economic development within the Paduan production system.
The 2026 edition of the Assembly, titled “The locomotive at the crossroads” (La locomotiva allo scambio), focused on the future of manufacturing in the North East amidst energy geopolitics, new European industrial policies, and global challenges. The debate centered on the role of Italian SMEs within the new international economic balances, with particular attention to strategic autonomy, industrial competitiveness, and the ongoing energy transformations.
The proceedings were opened by Antonio Bressa, Deputy Mayor of Padua and City Councilor for Productive Activities and Trade, Massimo Bitonci, Regional Councilor for Economic Development for the Veneto Region, and Mario Bertolissi, President of the Fondazione Veneta Terapia Cellulare del Diabete – TCD.
The introductory report was entrusted to Lucio Poma, Chief Economist at Nomisma. Key speakers throughout the evening included Paolo Scaroni, Chairman of Enel and AC Milan and an expert in energy geopolitics, Cristian Camisa, President of the Confapi Confederation, Mario Mauro, European Coordinator for the Baltic–Black Sea–Aegean Corridor and former Minister of Defense and Sergio Arzeni, President of INSME and former Director-General at the OECD.
