Fondazione Telethon has entrusted SAY with the strategic management of its LinkedIn channels and those of its research institutes, TIGEM and SR-TIGET, launching a journey focused on strengthening the Foundation’s institutional and scientific positioning at both national and international levels.
Fondazione Telethon is an Italian biomedical charity that finances and promotes research into rare genetic diseases. It operates through a distinctive model that integrates the entire process: from basic research to the development and distribution of therapies. Through its institutes—The Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM) in Pozzuoli and the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-TIGET) in Milan—it represents one of the few global cases where a non-profit organization successfully brings a therapy to approval and patient availability. A prime example is the gene therapy for Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS), which was recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States.
The project developed by SAY focuses on building a structured and authoritative presence on LinkedIn, considered a strategic channel for engaging with institutional stakeholders, the scientific community, industrial partners, and the media. The objective is to consolidate the reputation of Fondazione Telethon and its Institutes as a benchmark in the landscape of scientific research and healthcare innovation. At the same time, the project aims to highlight the Foundation’s role in the public debate on key issues such as access to therapies, the sustainability of development models, and the relationship between research and social impact. Particular emphasis is placed on communicating scientific milestones, such as the FDA approval of the WAS gene therapy, viewed as a pivotal moment for the Foundation’s international positioning.
The project involves the integrated efforts of SAY’s three divisions – Creativity, Performance, and Relations – working in synergy to develop content, distribution strategies, and stakeholder engagement activities to generate concrete and measurable results.
SAY S.p.A. is a communication and marketing firm with offices in Padua and Milan, comprising over 70 professionals. It operates through an integrated model that combines creativity, data, and relations to support brands in structured, long-term growth paths.
“We are very pleased to launch this partnership with Fondazione Telethon, an organization of immense value in the field of scientific research and social innovation,” comments Lorenzo Servino, Sales Development Director at SAY. “This project requires a strategic approach and a systemic vision, where content, data, and relations work together to build a solid and recognizable positioning over time.”
“A strong alignment of values emerged from the very beginning,” adds Anita Santalucia, Creative Director at SAY. “Working on a project that centers on research and its tangible impact on people’s lives represents both a responsibility and a design opportunity in which we deeply believe.”
The start of this collaboration is part of a broader journey aimed at building a consistent and continuous editorial presence over time, capable of narrating the complexity of scientific research and the value generated for society in an accessible yet authoritative manner.
