Inclusive language: SAY opens its doors to experts and clients for an in-house training day

Today, Wednesday 16 September, SAY hosted the workshop “Mind your language: communicating without excluding“. This training event brought together industry experts, agency staff, and clients for an in-depth exploration of the role language plays in building an equitable workplace and managing stakeholder relationships.
The workshop alternated between theoretical sessions, real-life case studies, and practical exercises, with the aim of providing actionable tools to recognise and manage biases, stereotypes, and exclusionary language.
Led by facilitators Eva Martini, a trainer and coach specialising in organisational wellbeing, and Alessandra Scomparin, an HR professional specialising in Diversity, Inclusion, and Gender Equality, participants had the opportunity to explore the impact communication has on the workplace climate. This was achieved through small-group simulations and the use of Artificial Intelligence to map potential biases and identify areas for improvement within written communications.
“Continuous training on these topics is a key component of our corporate culture and our service offering. Indeed, in a professional context, simplifying and using clear language is a functional necessity for the message, as it facilitates understanding and prevents misunderstandings or a sense of distance from our audiences,” explains Alberto Baracco, Managing Partner at SAY. “Our commitment to accessible and inclusive communication does not mean simplifying the content, but rather making it more effective and fit for purpose. These are not just words: the alignment between the values we promote and the tangible practices we adopt every day here at SAY is also reflected in our organisational model, which has achieved the UNI/PdR 125 gender equality certification from TÜV NORD.”
This ongoing commitment – both in our internal training and in the delivery of our agency’s services – translates into added value for our clients. We support them in communicating clearly and effectively, with full respect for diversity and in line with the expectations of an increasingly mindful and mature market.
